Make a sweet-tart rhubarb margarita using your homemade rhubarb syrup for a refreshing, tropical-inspired spring cocktail.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Tequila Blanco
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 0.75 oz Homemade Rhubarb Syrup
  • 0.5 oz Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • Salt or sugar for rim (optional)
  • Lime wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare your glass rim by rubbing a lime wedge around the edge and dipping it into salt or sugar.
  2. Combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, rhubarb syrup, and Cointreau in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  3. Shake the mixture well until thoroughly chilled.
  4. Strain the mixture into your prepared glass over fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with a lime wedge. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a less sweet drink, reduce the rhubarb syrup to 0.5 oz.
  • If you do not have homemade rhubarb syrup, you can substitute with simple syrup and a splash of fresh rhubarb juice.
  • Use a high-quality Tequila Blanco for the best flavor in this pink margarita recipe.
