Create a rich, sliceable dessert that combines the dense texture of a brownie with a moist loaf cake, swirled and topped with homemade hot fudge sauce for an indulgent chocolate experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (about 18.3 ounces) standard brownie mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar hot fudge sauce, divided
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Spray a standard 9×5 inch loaf pan generously with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the entire box of brownie mix, the 3 eggs, the canola oil, and one jar of the hot fudge sauce.
  3. Mix these ingredients until the batter is smooth. Do not overmix the batter.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out mostly clean with moist crumbs attached.
  6. Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Cooling fully is necessary before topping.
  7. Once the loaf is completely cool, warm the remaining jar of hot fudge sauce gently.
  8. Pour the warm hot fudge topping over the cooled loaf, allowing it to drizzle down the sides.
  9. Let the fudge topping set for about 15 minutes before you slice and serve your decadent chocolate loaf cake.

Notes

  • For the fudgiest result, avoid baking longer than necessary. The center should remain dense.
  • If you prefer a slightly softer topping, warm the fudge sauce just until pourable, not hot.
  • Store leftover hot fudge brownie bread covered at room temperature for up to two days.
