Ingredients
Scale
4 cups fresh or frozen corn kernels
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons honey
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Optional: 1 tablespoon fresh thyme or cracked black pepper for garnish
Instructions
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the corn kernels to the skillet and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is tender and slightly caramelized.
Stir in the honey, heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
Continue to cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens slightly and coats the corn. Do not let the cream boil rapidly.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Taste and adjust salt or honey as needed.
Serve immediately, garnished with fresh thyme or extra cracked black pepper if desired.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use fresh corn cut from the cob.
If using frozen corn, do not thaw before adding it to the skillet.
This recipe works well as a side dish for potlucks or family meals.
