Make this rich, smooth, and versatile garlic sauce in under 10 minutes using just five simple ingredients. It works perfectly as a dip, a topping for chicken or pasta, or a drizzle over vegetables.

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the mayonnaise, minced fresh garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper into a food processor or a small blender jar.
  2. Process the ingredients until the sauce is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste the sauce and adjust salt or lemon juice if necessary.
  4. Transfer the garlic sauce to an airtight container. Chill for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Use as a dip for fries or breadsticks, or drizzle over grilled chicken, roasted vegetables, or toss with pasta.

Notes

  • For a Garlic Parmesan Sauce variation, blend in 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese with the other ingredients.
  • If you prefer a thinner sauce, add 1 teaspoon of water at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
  • This sauce tastes best when made ahead and chilled for at least 30 minutes.
