Make the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer with this easy 3-ingredient Bisquick sausage balls recipe. These cheesy, savory bites use Bisquick, sausage, and cheddar cheese for a simple party snack or breakfast item.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage (mild or spicy)
  • 2 cups Bisquick Original Pancake & Baking Mix
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage, Bisquick mix, and shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly using your hands until they are just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter. Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between them.
  5. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the sausage balls are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier flavor, use hot ground sausage instead of mild.
  • These sausage cheese balls freeze well. Cool completely, place in a freezer-safe bag, and freeze for up to three months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
  • Serve these game day snacks with your favorite dipping sauce, such as honey mustard or ranch dressing.
