Cook bone-in or boneless pork chops in the air fryer for a quick weeknight dinner. This recipe delivers tender, juicy meat with a perfectly crisp exterior in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops completely dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve a crisp exterior.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper to create the seasoning rub.
  3. Brush both sides of the pork chops lightly with olive oil.
  4. Sprinkle the seasoning rub evenly over all surfaces of the pork chops, pressing gently so the spices adhere.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the seasoned pork chops in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry bone-in chops for 12 to 15 minutes, or boneless chops for 10 to 13 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
  8. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Remove the chops when they reach 140°F (60°C) for medium-rare or 145°F (63°C) for medium.
  9. Let the pork chops rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before serving. The internal temperature will rise during resting.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can lightly spray the seasoned chops with cooking spray before placing them in the air fryer.
  • Use thick-cut chops (at least 1 inch) to prevent the meat from drying out quickly.
  • This simple rub works well for both lean boneless pork chops and fattier bone-in cuts.
